Less attractive but just 10 minutes further down the hill from
Palaia, is Forcoli that offers a supermarket as well as all

The surrounding area is ideal for hiking, biking, horse-back-riding and site-seeing whether it be at the level of Tuscany’s famous landmarks – Florence (50km) , Lucca (50km), San Gimignano (40km) and Volterra (35km) or the multitude of little known mountain top villages and towns that literally scatter the area but never even make it to the guide books.
The property is just 35 minutes drive from Pisa, the main hub
for international flights to Tuscany. For those choosing to
fly direct from the States Rome is a convenient 4 hour train
ride via Florence.
