Whether you’re new to Tuscany or a regular visitor, Tinvito’s itinerary planning service will ensure that your stay is as full of interest as you want it to be. We can cater to special, one-off arrangements as well as longer schedules.
Tuscany is typically a summer destination. The combination of climate, the timing of school holidays, the wealth of attractions and activities and centuries of uniquely rich culture make Tuscany the ideal place to visit in the summer months.
There’s no avoiding the summertime crowds in world-famous tourist centres. However, Tinvito can introduce you to beautiful hill-top towns that may never make it into a guide book, but offer their own distinctive cultural treasures along with “must-see” views, the chance to take a leisurely stroll though charming villages in spectacular settings, and maybe relax in the piazza with coffee, lunch or drinks with the locals. Fishing trips, cooking classes, garden tours and specialist activities can all be arranged if you give us enough notice – it’s a strange fact that many Italians close down and go on holiday at the height of the tourist season!
But there is, of course, more to enjoying yourself than summer vacations, and spring, autumn and winter will all let you see Tuscany’s beauty in a different light. There are many traditional festivals or “sagre,” celebrating anything from the broad bean to the new olive oil, wine, truffles (for which the area is particularly well-known). These festivals evidently fall in the appropriate part of the rural calendar, and seldom attract traditional tourists. We keep abreast of what’s going on where, so that our clients can build these unusual and rewarding experiences into their stay.
And of course, we are available year-round to assist with the on-site logistics of your stay – everything from private rentals, bookings and car rental to hiring baby-sitting services, cooks, and so on. Our services include:
- Meeting and/or welcoming on arrival
- Reference point for any practical issues, queries, needs and enquiries
- Advice on suppliers, restaurants, shops, etc.
- Point of contact for any emergencies (medical emergencies, car breakdowns, schedule changes, etc.)
